Our Shared Agreements

Brico Collective events are intentionally designed to support brave conversations, shared learning, and meaningful connection in a casual, welcoming environment.

These shared agreements help create a brave, welcoming space where people can show up fully and honestly.

Shoes Optional
This is a casual, welcoming space. Dress comfortably, sit where you like, step out when needed, and make yourself at home. Comfort supports courage.

Share the Air
Be mindful of how much space you’re taking and notice when you’re holding back. If you’re in your head, curious, or unsure, your voice and questions belong here.

Presence Over Apology
You don’t need to apologize for being human. Being late, leaving early, stepping out, asking for what you need, or taking up space doesn’t require an apology. We value presence, not perfection.

Take the Lesson, Leave the Name
When you leave, carry the insight, not the story or the person. This protects trust and makes brave conversations possible.

Grow the Circle
If this space is useful to you, chances are it would be useful to someone else too. Think about who might benefit and invite them in.

Our address is:

315 W. 1st St., Suite 204
Duluth, MN 55802

Planning Your Visit

  • Parking

Where should I park when visiting Brico Collective?
We recommend planning a little extra time for parking. There are several good options nearby:

    • Civic Center Parking Ramp (about 1 block away)
Easy to find, covered, and usually the most straightforward option.

    • Phoenix Building Lot
Affordable and close, but a smaller lot that can fill up quickly.

    • Metered Street Parking (nearby blocks)
Convenient for shorter visits. The maximum time is 1 hour 20 minutes.
Tip: Add quarters first (up to $2), snap a photo of the meter number, then extend time using the Duluth ParkMobile app if needed.

    • Fourth Avenue Parking Lot (about 2 blocks away)
A solid backup if closer options are full.

    • Duluth Transit Center Parking Ramp (a few blocks away)
Another covered ramp option within a short walk.cription

  • Brico is at 315 W. 1st St. Suite 204.

Look for a brown awning with 315 printed on the side. We're located across the street from the downtown YMCA (and down the block).

    Getting Inside:

When you arrive, use the electronic directory at the entrance.

    1. Click Brico Works

    2. Smile for the camera

    3. I’ll buzz you in.

    4. Head up the stairs and we are the second door on the left.

  • We want Brico Collective to be welcoming and accessible.

    • Our main entrance is at ground level, but access into the space requires stairs.

    • We do have a rear entrance with wheelchair access, which we are happy to set up in advance.

    • At this time, there is no parking directly behind the building, so advance coordination is needed.

    • We are actively working to identify a solution for a designated accessible parking option for these situations.

If you have accessibility needs or questions, please reach out ahead of your visit. We’re glad to work with you to make the space work.

  • (Workshops & Pay-What-You-Can Events)

Most Brico Collective workshops and small events use a pay-what-you-can or suggested contribution model. We want these spaces to be accessible and low-pressure.

If you’re no longer able to attend, please let us know:

    • By updating your RSVP using the confirmation email, or

    • By emailing hello@brico.works

If you cancel, your payment will be fully refunded. No questions asked.

Early notice helps us offer the spot to someone else and plan thoughtfully, but we understand that plans change.

    A quick note

This policy applies to workshops and small community events only. Larger events, multi-session series, or events with fixed costs may have different cancellation terms, which will always be clearly shared at registration.

  • These shared agreements help create a brave, welcoming space where people can show up fully and honestly.
