The Brico Story
I was raised by my mother, who worked tirelessly to support us as a single parent on a tight budget. Growing up, I saw firsthand how community support could transform lives. Those experiences shaped my passion for empowering changemakers—leaders like you who work every day to make the world better.

That passion led me to found Brico Works, inspired by bricolage: the art of creating something extraordinary from what’s on hand. Today, Brico Works helps social impact leaders build workspaces that are sustainable, impactful, and full of possibility.
Janie Dunckley Moore brings more than 20 years of nonprofit, health and public sector leadership to Brico Works. Before founding Brico in 2023, she served as Director of Impact at Entrepreneur Fund, where she led impact measurement, data systems, development and marketing, and guided organizational change across teams. In Colorado, she was Director of Business Development at Northwest Colorado Health, served as Interim Executive Director of a nonprofit dental clinic through a 12-month acquisition, and coordinated a regional health collaborative of 12 organizations across five counties. Her early career focused on statewide health care reform with the Center for Improving Value in Health Care (CIVHC) and the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF). Along the way, she has been part of team efforts that secured more than $2 million in partnerships, and has designed leadership development programs for teams and cohorts. Janie holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Denver and a BA in Speech Communication from Colorado State University, and has called Duluth home since 2017.
